Two Convenient Ways to Update:

1) Full Map Update:  USB Download

2) Home or Regional Update Wi-Fi Update*: Smaller coverage area that can be updated over Wi-Fi.  Go to 'Navigation,' then 'Map Update' for options (*may not be available in all regions)

INSTALLATION GUIDES BY STEPS BELOW:

1) BEFORE STARTING: 

You will need:

A) Computer with internet:

Map Downloads require a Windows computer (w/ Windows 10 or higher) or MAC computer (w/ macOS 12 or higher) Phones/Tablets/Chromebooks can't be used

B) USB Stick:

A blank 32GB formatted USB Stick formatted to FAT32 and a computer/laptop and internet connection. (You cannot use a phone or tablet to download the map.)

Recommendations:

·    Brand:  While there are no specifications for brand – we have seen some work better than others.  Honda has had success with SanDisk and Micro Center

·    Size:  32GB is minimum size and recommended.  (USBs larger than 32GB will need additional steps to format to FAT32)

·    Type: USB 3.0 is recommended  (USB 2.0 will work but data transfer will be slower)

2) DOWNLOADING MAP UPDATE FROM COMPUTER TO USB:

The Map Downloader 'Tool' is different than the actual Map Update Download 'file.'    The Tool is a one-time download and MUST be installed before you initiate the Map Update Download.  Do not plug your USB in while downloading the tool.  The tool must be saved direct to your computer
